Poker Tournament Manager Software from MB Hammond Group LLC
Poker Tournament Manager Software from MB Hammond Group LLC - Consumer:Â Organizers of home-based and commercial poker tournaments.
The purpose of Poker Tournament Manager is to give players the tools they need to manage a poker tournament. This software enables a tournament director to assign seats randomly, balance tables as players go out, time blind levels and breaks, and calculate either fixed or percentage-based payouts at the end of the tournament. It also supports buy-ins, rebuys, and chip add-ons.
Pros: The product does a lot of the work a tournament director has to do in order to set up and run a poker tournament. With it, you can set all guidelines (blind levels, distribution of winnings, etc.), add players’ names, assign seats, and balance tables as players are eliminated. Its poker clock enables you to keep track of when blinds should be raised and when breaks should occur. It also allows you to save statistical data from past tournaments and post tournament results. It even allows a tournament director to play in the tournament himself.
The deluxe edition includes a Tournament Manager, which can create a tournament prep checklist, help you determine chip counts, estimate total buy-ins and payouts, and alert you as to when tables can be balanced.
The product also comes with free website and email support, with a promise of 24-hour turnaround time on responses to all questions.
Cons: Other than the apparent lack of a guarantee offered directly by the company (see below), there are no apparent cons associated with purchasing this product.
Guarantee: The company does not offer a money-back guarantee. The level of support offered for the product and the significant amount of positive feedback about the product *may* make this less of a concern.
Value for money: For poker players who also run a signficant number of tournaments, this is a good deal for the money.
